What do we see in this work of art?
Printed on canvas, this Elephant mural by Korean artist Dear.Bon.Vivant depicts the majestic visage of a grey-skinned giant. In this country we can only admire these animals in zoos, as they are mainly at home in Africa and South-East Asia. Typically, the color gray predominates in the image and it is only broken up a little by light-dark contrasts and shadows. The only other colors in the image are a subtle dark brown in the eyes and the light pink of the skin on the trunk. The eyes themselves look directly at us and convey an authoritative aura, while the elephant's trunk comes towards us and seems to offer a high-five. The animal's head and trunk are rather small in proportions and are reminiscent of a baby elephant. A typical motif by the artist, who specializes in playful and joyful themes.
Where can this mural hang?
This Elephant mural printed on a canvas combines the majestic charisma of the pachyderm with the playful, youthful energy of a young animal. A poster of this would look great in a classroom.
