What do we see in this work of art?
This photograph on canvas Sunset at Junam Water Reservoir by Korean photographer Young Han Song shows the region of the same name in South Korea shortly after sunset. Located near the city of Changwon, this reservoir is known for its admirable scenery and wildlife diversity. Changwon itself is located in the extreme south of Korea and is a neighboring city to the metropolis of Busan. The lighting conditions of the mural allow us to see the natural beauty of the Korean landscape. We can see the mountains forming a wide horizon. The reservoir covers the lower half of the artwork. The surrounding landscape is reflected in it, creating something that looks like a slightly blurry parallel world. The main focus of the mural, however, is the almost circular flock of birds that flies over the mirror-smooth lake and can also be seen in the reflection. Behind the mountains we can still see the last rays of the autumn sun lighting up the sky and creating a fantastic color transition from orange, through white, to the beginning of the dark blue of the evening sky.
Where can this mural hang?
A canvas print of the artwork Sunset at Junam Water Reservoir embodies the natural beauty of Korea's natural landscape. The mural literally draws the viewer to the banks of the reservoir and has a calming effect due to its gentle play of colors. Maybe the artwork can serve as inspiration for your next vacation. The mural fits particularly well in a bedroom or living room.
